If someone names their baby ADOLF. Is that a bad name, if so, why?
(don't say, "hello, hitler, duhh")
Why do you think it would be bad or normal to name a baby ADOLF in 2008?There is no reason other than Hitler is there?
Unless you have the opinion that it is a unattractive name objectively.
I am from Berlin I cannot think of anyother reason why. Why did you ask us not to mention Hitler. He is not a good enough cause for you not to saddle a child with that name? He is to me.
Why not just name him Caligula then??Well, obviously hitler.. but you said not to mention that soo... It certianly wouldn't be my first choice of baby name. I mean, generally people attempt to NOT name their children after those responsible for mass genocide.. but you know. I don't know what else you're looking for here.
Yes, it is just a name but it will always have a negative connotation. It's your baby so name him what you like but I'm sure you know that the name does not elicit positive feelings from most people. It is bad because the first thing people will think IS Hitler.I dont know about wrong, but it isn't very cute bad name, just because its uncommon and not beautiful.
the child would get screwed over on the playground when hes younger,
and once kids actually know who adolf hitler was, hitler would probably be his new nickname Because in the generation of Josh's, Brandon's, Dakota's and Austin's ... Adolf seems a tad outta place, don't you think? :)there are plenty of names better than golf.even if it had nothing to do with adolf hitler, its not a cool name!
dexter is much cooler! thats wat im gonna call my kid! how cool is dex for a nickname! (this is gona happen in a million years tho)It's a legit German name (means "noble wolf"), but be realistic -- people aren't going to hear it and go, "Oh, what a nice name!" Their mind is instantly going to go Hitler and the Holocaust. Do you want your child, for the rest of his/her life, to be subtly associated with a dictator and a genocide? That was one of the featured articles today...you might want to take a look at it.because it makes me think of meat tenderizer i would not give anyone that namedepends on the parent, if you are really asking my opinion, it sounds christian.No..but I haven't heard of an Adolf is yeaaarrs the closest I've heard is AdolfO..a name is a name..y assume somethin else right away?well, adolf is german so the kid should probably be german.
umm, adolf is more of a old time name, so if they are a classy german name it should work.how about jew killer, i like that name much betterWe should never forget the sacrifice that men and women gave to free us from a tyrant like Adolf Hitler, giving a child that name is disrespectful to those that gave their livesI think it wouldn't be a brilliant idea. I mean, people just naturally associate the name Adolf with the people-killing, famous mustache guy. The poor kid would probably be teased/alienated during school. People could even think he's a Nazi or something.
If a parent would want that kind of automatic stereotyping for their child, then SURE yeah it's a fabulous idea. If not, just name your kiddo Adam and get on with life.cuz it sounds cursed n 1 thing 4 sure is, poor boy, he'll hv a twisted life all thro his schoolin days until he changes d name.Sure! And hey, if you end up having twins why not call the other Bin- Laden!!?omg, yes. BECAUSE of Hitler. your child will be taunted to NO end.
It's not normal to name a kid this. um cause their first reaction will be of hitler, and he will probably have a rough childhood. idk its ur baby, and ur name, but yeaaaa....lol think twice on that maybe??I think it is just because its going to be their name forever and they will probably catch alot of crap from people with that name.http://blogs.static.mentalfloss.com/blog...I think it would still be bad, hard on the child and wouldn't advise it.
Stories of Hitler will be told forever. It's not something someone is likely to forget anytime soon. i think its fine, i mean its a german name, the war is over, MOST people have had time to get over their grievances. one problem as you did say they could be mocked about the hitler thing. and ur previous commenter (the first one) needs to wake up, not be racist and get over themselves.hey its an individual choice..if u like it,go ahead..but u cant stop people from associating ur baby's name wid adolf hitler....so be mentally prepared 4 itBecause of what Hitler did, the name Adolf will always have negative connotations. Yes. The kid would most likely be hated/picked on, just because it's associated with Hitler..I don't see why not ...It's just a name . even though it is 2008 three are just some things we cannot forget. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
