I am 83 and receive Social Security Benefits, (not SSI) I recently have become blind and am on oxygen 24 hrs.?

I have a small income , and am in the lowest income tax bracket.
Because I receive a small income , the Social Security office said I do not qualify for SSI.
But are there other benefits I might qualify for through social Security because of my disabilities that might raise my monthly SS payment.

I can't think of any except you will now pay less income tax because your standard deduction will be higher since you are blind.

24 hours, but i am also happy that you are alive,so let me give you some hope the creator never gives you more than you can handle.

should be answered by a social security advocate or a lawyer that is
specialize in social security issues.For your respiratory problem i
would suggest that you start drinking a lot of comfrey tea if you
can find it in a health food store.Comfrey is known to create new cells
