How do I play my Ipod music on itunes?

If you synced your iPod to your computer to get the songs on there, they should still be on your computer
Go to your Hard Drive and click Music (If you have a mac) and your music should be there
Simply you open itunes and pick a song and start playing.
If you have an older iPod (well older than the 4th generation nano, or the iPod Touch), there was a program I much enjoyed on windows called Anapod. (I'm on a mac now plus I use an ipod touch so its pretty useless to me now)

Anapod works with most of the classic ipods and older nanos, it allows the usual draging and dropping of music to and from the iPod, in an organized manner right from windows explorer.
BUT it also allows you to play music on your computer directly from the iPod, not just locally but anywhere on your home or work network.
So you need backup your iPod song to computer first. Then adds to your iTunes from computer. Then you can play them on your computer.
Get the tool from here:

Step 1: Transfer your songs to a folder on your computer e.g. "C:/music" with a iPod Transfer tool.
If the music you want to backup is in your computer, just proceed to Step 2 directly.
Step 2: Run iTunes, click "File", click "Add Files to Library..." or "Add Folder to Library..." , select the songs in folder C:/music.
Or simply run iTunes, Drag your files in "C:/music" to your iTunes music Library.
