Can a fever be linked to Thrush? Help?

I am a 23 year old lad who has got Thrush/Balenitis. It came about from having a lot of sex with my partner and then not washing up properly afterward. I usually do but it slipped my mind this time. I went down with a fever a cough and general pain all over in my joins and being sensitive to the cold.

I have been using Canesten to clear up the thrush and it seems to be clearing, I am worried about me fever and cold however which is no better or worse.

I read somewhere a yeast infection can get in your body. Is this possible or is it just a case of me having a cold and as my immune system is down the thrush just being a separate condition as i am week? Also how long till it clears up?

Please help if you have any knowledge or input it would be appreciated!
