700 power drive

  • tool trips breaker and archs at the electric motor. checked armature and tested damaged. replaced armature and tool still trips breaker. checked on and off switch its ok. i am trying not to spend too much money it may be cheaper to repace the tool with a new one. can you help me out. Thanks.

    Before replacing the whole tool you might want to consider taking it to an authorized service center for evaluation. It might be as simple as a new set of brushes or brush holders. The field itself may also have a short in it causing the tool to arc. In either case this would be a lot less expensive than buying a whole new unit. There are a few service centers in your area. You can contact our technical service department in order to find the one nearest to you. I hope this is of some assistance.
